hello how are you?
ryall-:

The six women of the Knitting Circle meet every week to talk, eat cake, and make fabulous sweaters. Until the night they realise that they’ve all survived rape and that not one of their assailants has suffered a single consequence. Enough is enough. The Knitting Circle declares open season on rapists, with no licenses and no bag limits. With needles as their weapons, the revolution begins.
A novel by Derrick Jensen and Stephanie McMillan: The Knitting Circle Rapist Annihilation Squad will be available soon! In the meantime, we have patches which can be sewed or ironed on. [x]

WHAT, OH MY GOD, I NEED TWELVE

hey y’all, i’m organizing a ~feminist skillshare~ at the really really free market (april 13th) and probably you can’t go because you don’t live in athens

BUUUUT if you want i’m making a zine and looking for tutorials to put in it and you could totally contribute. it is going to be part about ~feminism~ (i was initially planning an intro to feminism but i might not do that unless i can make sure i’m not sounding insufferable) and also part about DIY stuff. you can like get creative if you want. some ideas we’ve had for teaching are craft stuff (knitting, cross-stitch, embroidery), haircuts, yoga, plant identification, resumes, etc etc. but basically any skill you have.

unsure if i want to limit it to women/non-binary people doin the teaching or if i am going to open it to dudes too.

anyway it’s for my women’s studies praxis class. it is my praxis project.

if you wanna submit anything let me know, deadline’s april 1st, shoot for 1-3 typed pages!

Tiger’s favorite stuffed animal is this whacky bright colored dog covered in stars. He calls it “Dog.” He woke me up Friday morning saying “Dog is Feminist! Dog is Feminist!”

it’s funny because i’m pretty sure “dog is feminist” is something i would say

violent feminist cleaning action while helping stacey clean her house

dissimilarto replied to your post: this is kind of a boring story i guess but i think it is cute

why’d she call Joy Division useless information? also “radical feminism” :(

she didn’t know it was joy division; she was just talking about the fact that that image is an exploding star.

anyway i haven’t started reading the radical feminism reader but let me tell you my experience is “you are almost always going to be horrified with the transphobia of people who call themselves radical feminists on the internet” but also like “radical feminism in women’s studies refers to a ton of thought and a lot of it’s not transphobic and based around weird ideas of gender being fake and sex being real” but like, i’ll let y’all know if there’s anything that is awful in it

hysteria hat, because probably something is wrong with your womb.

Hey, here is a color pdf of the zine lace and i and our lovely local friends put together this week! This is only 4 pages out of 12 total so be sure to download and read the whole thing!

lace did a great formatting job and if you want to print some out and pass them around we will all love you very much.

omg

it’s about pubes. it is for class.

help me w/ books plz i.e. anti-bummer list

lybram:

i need books. i have been feeling pretty bummed out for various reasons, and so i recently started digging through a pretty paltry list of writer names looking for something to help me verbalize a lot of the vague, cognitive dissonance-y feelings i get, having been raised by a family that considers pretty much all the pre-marital sexual decisions i make to be terrible ideas. am trying to find words to fuel a healthy stream of communication about these feelings, particularly in said relationship, because carrying tons of sexual guilt into a sexual relationship is actually a terrible idea

feministy fiction would be preferred because i am in school and literary respite is hard to come by, but anything dealing with latina/first-gen experiences would be so awesome, thanks thanks

signal boost for lydia, am good at theory but bad at feminist fiction recommendations
